Thai Nguyen to host biggest trade fair in northeastern region

Ha Noi (VNA) – The International Trade Fair Thai Nguyen 2007, beginning Nov. 15, will be the largest ever, said the director of the Thai Nguyen province Department of Trade and Tourism, Nguyen Van Chien, at a press conference in Ha Noi on Aug. 21.The event would be a good chance to enhance the image of Thai Nguyen, Chien said, and also an opportunity for domestic and foreign enterprises to market products, exchange experience and promote cooperation and technology exchanges.
He said he hoped that the fair would make an effective contribution to accelerating the economic, commercial and tourism development of Thai Nguyen and the northern provinces generally.
The fair will showcase equipment, technology, building materials, electronics, IT, apparel, seafood, agricultural products, handicrafts, furniture, consumer goods, tourist destinations and services in approximately 350 pavilions.
A seminar would be held on the sidelines of the trade fair to introduce investors to the investment climate of Thai Nguyen Province, its investment policies, incentives and priority sectors.
The six-day fair will be co-organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Promotion Agency, the Thai Nguyen People’s Committee, the provincial Department of Trade and Tourism, and the Viet Nam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition.-Enditem
