Tourism developer borrows 52 million USD
Ha Noi (VNA) - Tourism developer TPC Nghi Tam Village Co. Ltd signed credit documents with three local banks on Aug. 17, totalling 52 million USD in contract value.The Bank of Foreign Trade of Viet Nam (Vietcombank) and the Ocean Bank and Global Petrol Commercial Bank have granted the credit to aid in completion of the InterContinental Ha Noi Westlake hotel. The hotel is expected to officially open by the end of the fourth quarter of this year.
Committed to keeping the project's operation on schedule, the company hopes to resolve the problem of the lack of hotel spaces in Ha Noi. Moreover, the hotel will generate some 500 jobs for the city, the company's general director, Shaharul Farez Bin Hassan, stated.
The hotel is located over the waters of Ha Noi's Westlake and boasts five-stars with 340 guestrooms and 19 suites. It will be operated by the InterContinental Hotels Group, Shaharul said.
"We hope to open a hotel that will give local and foreign visitors an excellent impression of the capital city and to make an overall positive contribution to national tourism," Shaharul commented at the signing ceremony.
Dinh Van Muoi, deputy general director of the major sponsor Vietcombank, said, "The smooth completion of the project will contribute significantly to the capital's infrastructure for tourism." He added that infrastructure plays a significant role in the development of the industry.
TPC Nghi Tam village is a joint venture between the Trade Winds Group's TPC Development Co and the Ha Noi Tourism Corporation's GTC Thang Long Co. The company specialises in developing hotels and providing internal hotel services.-Enditem
