Unilever names 10 teams for final of marketing contest
VietNamNet Bridge – Unilever Vietnam on Monday announced 10 qualified teams will compete in the final round of a "Marketing Challenge Prove" contest the company has launched for the first time for local university students.The group qualifiers overcame 15 other teams at regional competitions in Hanoi and HCMC, where they had to show and present their ideas about marketing.
The finalists will have to translate their ideas about marketing, especially for the Rexona brand of Unilever, in the final scheduled to take place from early August till October 25.
Thai Minh Diem Tu, de-odorants category leader of Unilever Vietnam, on Monday handed VND20mil (US$1,200) to each of the seven qualified teams in HCMC to help them prepare and realize their ideas. Three teams from Hanoi received the same money from the company two weeks ago.
Tu, who is in charge of the marketing contest, said that with the monies presented, the group finalists had to develop plans and programs from their ideas and the suggestions of the organizers.
The creativity, feasibility and public effect of programs will decide the winners, whose names are scheduled for coming out in late October.
The organizers will present VND100mil (US$6,200) to the winning team, VND50mil (around US$3,100) to the runners-up and VND20mil to the third-place team. In addition, all team members will get an to work for Unilever Vietnam.
Unilever Vietnam organizes the contest for students to learn about and gain experiences in marketing, presentation - and teamwork among others.
