LSE joins hand with Vietnamese counterpart

Ha Noi (VNA) - The London Stock Exchange (LSE) announced that it has inked an agreement with its counterpart from Viet Nam’s Ho Chi Minh City, which could pave the way for a fresh wave of overseas listings in Britain.

The deal, signed by LSE’s Director of Markets Martin Graham and the Chief Executive of the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange Tran Dac Sinh, will include provisions for collaboration across areas such as training and technical assistance.

The principal benefit for the LSE is expected to materialise in the form of greater encouragement for Vietnamese companies to consider a listing on the London bourse.

"During the last few years, the London Stock Exchange has attracted a number of ambitious Vietnamese companies looking to expand their businesses internationally", Graham was quoted as saying.

“I believe that this agreement can help unlock this promise, benefiting both exchanges and the Vietnamese companies we look to serve," Graham said.-Enditem
