Viet Nam bags four medals at regional athletics champs

Ha Noi (VNA) – Vietnamese athletes won one gold, one silver and two bronzes at the 17th Asia Track and Field Championship which wrapped up in Jordan on July 29.

After pocketing a gold medal in the women’s 800m, Truong Thanh Hang raced on to secure a bronze medal in the 1,500m event in a time of 4 '26".

Hang’s teammate, Vu Thi Huong, brought home a silver and a bronze in the 100m and 200m races in respective times of 11''33 and 23''30.

With these achievements, Huong earned a berth in the Beijing Olympic 2008 in the 100m event.-Enditem
