Project produces steel for shipbuilding

Hai Phong (VNA) – Songsan-Vinashin Ltd Co, a joint venture between the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) and the Republic of Korea’s Songsan C.N.I Ltd Co, received an investment licence from the northern port city of Hai Phong People’s Committee to begin steel production for the shipping industry.

The project has total capital of 657 billion VND (41.1 million USD) and will be capable of producing 102,720 tonnes of steel per year. The company will construct the factory on 22.26 ha to produce special steel for shipbuilding.-Enditem
