San Miguel to expand venture in Viet Nam

Ha Noi (VNA) – Philippine San Miguel Corporation announced on August 24 that it was looking to expand its beer operations in Viet Nam and is also studying the feasibility of establishing a brewery in Cambodia.

The Southeast Asia's largest publicly-listed food, beverage and packaging group, would allot up to 8 million USD to expand the capacity of its Viet Nam plant, Philippine media reported, adding that a brewery in Cambodia is expected to cost 16 million USD.

San Miguel also plans to venture into other businesses such as power generation and transmission, water and other utilities, and mining and infrastructure. –Enditem
