Viet Nam top manufacturing destination, says UK magazine

London (VNA) - The UK’s “Financial Director” magazine on August 29, ran an article calling that Viet Nam is the top manufacturing destination.

The magazine cited a study by a world’s well-known accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), which ranked 20 key emerging markets and found that for manufacturing companies looking to invest overseas, Viet Nam was the most attractive destination.

According to the magazine, the study was based on a model developed by economists which incorporates factor associated with the rewards that can be had in each country GDP per capita, economic growth rates, taxes, transport and tariffs. It also takes into account risk factor taken from the country’s bond market data.

The magazine also quoted Ian Coleman, head of emerging markets at PwC as saying that “ In the UK there is a widely recognised need for companies to embrace emerging market opportunities to avoid falling further behind competing developed countries.”

“The Index can act as a valuable framework or filter to help companies with their initial screening of investment location opportunities,” he added.-Enditem
