Central Highlands mark land for rubber plantation
Dak Lak (VNA) – The Central Highlands provinces have marked out over 202,000 ha of land for rubber plantation.Gia Lai province has close to 64,00 ha suitable for rubber trees, while Kon Tum has nearly 56,000 ha; Dak Nong, more than 38,000 ha; Dak Lak, 30,400 ha; and Lam Dong, close to 14,000 ha.
In accordance with a recent instruction by the Prime Minister, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum and Dak Nong provinces will plant an additional 100,000 ha of rubber trees from now to 2010.
The provinces have already prepared seedlings and fertiliser to begin the planting of rubber trees.-Enditem
