Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia to set up club
Phnom Penh (VNA) - Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia passed a plan to set up their own club in Cambodia at a seminar held in Phnom Penh on July 29.According to Le Bien Cuong, Vietnamese Commercial Counsellor in Cambodia , Viet Nam-Cambodia trade value increased from 170 million USD in 2000 to 935 million USD in 2006 and is expected to surpass 1 billion USD this year. Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia have markedly contributed to the rise, he said.
Nguyen Dang Dinh, representative of Vietnamese businesses in Cambodia , said that Vietnamese are running more than 100 businesses in Cambodia with half of them operating profitably in such areas as construction, commodities production and the processing of forest products and seafood.-Enditem
