Condolences over powerful earth quake in Peru
Ha Noi (VNA) – President Nguyen Minh Triet on August 17 extended condolences to his Peruvian counterpart President Alan Garcia Perez over his country’s great losses in lives and property caused by the recent earth quake.The death toll from the powerful earthquake that hit Peru's southern coast on August 14 has risen to 510 and the number of injuries to 1,610, the Peruvian Fire Department said on August 16.
Beside the massive casualties, the magnitude-7.9 quake has affected 80,000 other people and made 16,600 families homeless, news agencies reported.-Enditem
