Mekong Delta invests billions of dong into tourism

Can Tho (VNA)- Mekong Delta provinces have invested 98 billion VND in tourist assets, both tangible and intangible, such as floating markets, gardens, ancient houses, pagodas and southern folksongs.

Rich in tourist advantages, namely festivals, orchards, the National Bird Sanctuary Tram Chim, traditional craft villages and food specialties such as coconut candies, the Mekong Delta is among the six largest tourist venues in Viet Nam.

The region is considered as a small Viet Nam for all natural charisterstics ranging from the river and cannal system to mountains, seas, forests, islands and border areas. It is also open to other major tourist sites in Southeast Asia.--Enditem
