Spokesman rejects abuse of power by police

Ha Noi (VNA) - Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Dung has rebuffed speculations that police were involved in ill treatment, arrests and suppression against some ethnic minorities in Cuor Knia commune, in Dak Lak province.

“The speculations are merely fabrications with ill intension,” emphasised the spokesman in replying to an AFP correspondent’s question regarding the claims.

“Recently, representatives from UNHCR and foreign diplomatic corps have paid field trips to provinces in the Central Highlands and witnessed with their own eyes major progress made in the life of people of ethnic minority groups over there,” Dung concluded.--Enditem
