Viet Nam, Cambodia look to build on the future
Phnom Penh (VNA) - Viet Nam , Cambodia have agreed to work more closely in the field of construction.A memorandum of understanding was signed in Phnom Penh on August 14 by Vietnamese Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan and Senior Cambodian Minister of Land Management, Urbanisation and Construction Im Chun Lim.
Cooperation will include exchanges of visits and the sharing of experiences in civil engineering management, urban planning and construction.
The Vietnamese Construction Ministry also committed to organise training courses for Cambodian construction students and land and construction management officials in either Viet Nam or Cambodia .
The Cambodian minister said his country is growing fast and there will be a surging demand for new buildings and urban areas. He hoped that Cambodia ’s construction cooperation with Viet Nam will bring benefits to both countries.
The same day, Minister Nguyen Hong Quan paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Hun Sen and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Office of Council of Ministers Sok An.
Minister Quan's August 13-18 Cambodia visit's agenda includes working sessions and field trips to Prey Veng, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Siem Reap and Kampot.-Enditem
