Industrial zones nationwide bring in 24.2 billion USD

Ha Noi (VNA) – Industrial zones (IZs) nationwide have so far attracted 24.2 billion USD in foreign direct investment.

The country now has 148 IZs, 90 of which are operational with the remaining 58 still under construction.

The Prime Minister has also given the nod to add new IZs as part of the country’s priority development scheme.

The country licensed six projects to build IZs on 836ha in the first seven months of the year. Newly-established and expanded IZs are mainly located in southern provinces: including the 256ha Thanh Duc IZ in An Giang province, the 194ha Minh Hung IZ in Binh Phuoc province and the 140ha expanding Viet Huong II IZ in Binh Duong province.-Enditem
