Finance Ministry enhances ties with Temasek
Ha Noi (VNA) - Minister of Finance Vu Van Ninh recently held a working session with Singaporean Temasek Holdings Chairman S. Dhanabalan on enhancing their financial cooperation.The Vietnamese minister thanked Temasek Holdings for its assistance to the State Capital Management Corporation in training , adding that the Singaporean group’s experience have been useful for Viet Nam in equitisation process of state-owned enterprises.
According to Chairman Dhanabalan, Temasek Holdings operates in a way similar to the newly-founded State Capital Business Corporation in Viet Nam, and his group is willing to share experience with its Vietnamese counterpart.
Temasek Holdings is a State-owned company established in 1974 under the Singaporean Ministry of Finance vested with the function of managing Singaporean government-owned capital at enterprises.
Besides investments in Singapore and Asia, the group also expands its operation to Japan, Europe, Canada, the US, Russia and several nations in Latin America.
In Viet Nam, the group is holding 10 percent of stakes in Minh Phu Seafood Company.-Enditem
