Stock indexes increase slightly

Ha Noi (VNA) – Both the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) and its Ha Noi counterpart recorded slight increases by the end of the September 6 trading session.

The VN-Index at the HoSE gained 2.79 points or 0.3 percent to close the session at 928.36 points with more than 6.8 million shares worth 518 billion VND being traded.

The Tay Ninh Cable Car Tour (TCT) topped the list of 54 movers by tacking 10,000 VND onto its listed price, followed by blue chipper Binh Dinh Mining (BMC) with a 7,000 VND spike.

The group of 33 losers included Ben Tre Aquaproduct Import-Export (ABT), Cuu Long An Giang Seafood Import-Export (ACL), Bien Hoa Confectionary (BBC), Saigon Fuel (SFC), and Hau Giang Pharmaceutical (DHG).

The HaSTC-Index also experienced a slight increase of 0.85 points to finish at 254.57 points.

The session saw 991,200 shares worth 103 billion VND changing hands.

Song Da 9.09 Joint Stock Company (S99) and International Labour & Services JSC were among the biggest movers by adding 12,700 VND and 6,300 VND, respectively, to their listed prices. Meanwhile, Bao Viet Securities (BVS) suffered the greatest losses for the session as it had 5,300 VND slashed from its stock price.-Enditem
