VN-Index surpasses 900 point benchmark

Ha Noi (VNA) - The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange rebounded by climbing 9.27 points to end the August 30 session on 903.94 points.

The market saw 54 stocks gain, 32 remain unchanged and 28 stocks fall as more than 4.4 billion shares worth over 426 billion VND changed hands.

Blue-chip stock, Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC) again topped the list of gainers by tacking 25,000 VND onto its listed share price, followed by Tay Ninh Cable Car Tour (TCT) and Kinh Do Corp. (KDC).

Meanwhile, Imexpharm Pharmaceutical, which experienced gains at previous sessions, was the biggest loser by dropping 4,000 VND per unit.

Sai Gon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank still led the market in terms of transaction volume with 637,760 shares being traded.

The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi bourse also experienced a slight increase of 0.8 points, over the previous session, closing on 251.28 points.

The market saw 747,600 shares worth 68.2 billion VND change hands with Tien Phong Plastic (NTP) topping the market with 127,200 shares being bought or sold.-Enditem
