Miss Vietnam Germany: I’ll Learn More About Vietnam

Beauty pageants worldwide are taking turns announcing the winners who will compete at Miss Vietnam International 2007, and the latest queen to be crowned is Miss Vietnam Germany Le Thi Thanh Hoa.

Le Thi Thanh Hoa is one of about 40 contestants from abroad including two other recently- announced winners, Miss Vietnam Western Europe Teresa Sam and Miss Vietnam SNG Natalia Tran, who will take part in the first beauty contest ever for all Vietnamese girls worldwide to be held this September in Nha Trang city.

Interviewed after her victory, Miss Vietnam Germany and Central Europe said she would equip herself with more knowledge about Vietnamese history and culture to prepare for the upcoming final round.

“I do have a certain amount of knowledge about Vietnam, but in such a large-scale contest as the upcoming one, audiences as well as the jury will require wider and more comprehensive knowledge from the candidates,” said the 22-year-old beauty queen, who is currently working at a clinic as a dentist.

She was born in the northern province of Hai Duong and immigrated to Germany at 12 years of age. Jointly organised by Tien Phong (Vanguard) and Thanh Nien (Young People) newspapers, Vietnam Television (VTV) and the Vinpearl joint stock company, Miss Vietnam International will be broadcast live on VTV3 on the evening of September 2.
