State President receives Japanese MPs
Ha Noi (VNA) - State President Nguyen Minh Triet received Nikai Toshihiro, Chairman of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party's Diet Policy Committee, in Ha Noi, on August 20.Viet Nam is extremely appreciative of Japan's financial and technical assistance in a multitude of areas, said President Triet, affirming that Japanese-funded projects, including the North-South express railway and highway and the Hoa Lac high-tech park, are of great significance to the country's economy and pillars of the country's infrastructure development.
He also expressed his hope that Japan would continue to invest into the country's infrastructure and transportation sectors, particularly in major cities such as Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to chairman Nikai Toshihiro, who is leading a delegation of Japanese Lower House members, it has become increasingly necessary for the two countries to exchange delegations of relevant agencies to ensure the effectiveness of joint projects.-Enditem
