Malaysia, Thailand sign MoU on education cooperation
Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysia and Thailand has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on education as part of broader efforts by both countries to enhance cooperation and bilateral relations.Malaysian Education Minister Tun Hussein and his Thai counterpart Wichit Srisa-an inked the pact in Malaysia on August 21, witnessed by the prime ministers of both countries, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Surayud Chulanont.
Minister Tun Hussein said among the main MoU focus points were networking between schools in Malaysia and Thailand, particularly those in the southern provinces, religious education, student exchanges and teacher training programmes.
He also said that both countries would share information and experience on the cluster school initiative and training for school heads. –Enditem
